 2006年５月、ア
メリカ、カンザス州のベネディクティン大学が藤女子大学と協定校になりました。同大学はカンザス市から車で40分程度の、アチソンという閑静な町に美しいキャンパスを持っています。学生数約1,200人の大学です。

 大学の歴史は、1859 年に
ベネディクト会修道士が、カンザス州の人々のために高等教育機関を設立することを目的としてアチソンに到着したことに遡ります。1859 年から男子のSt. Benedict's Collegeが公式に始まって、1868 年に州の認可の学位授与機関となり、1927年にリベラル・アーツ大学として認証されました。1971年に、女子ベネディクト会によるMount St. Scholastica College と統合して共学大学になりました。本学とも共通する、カトリックの精神に基づく教育を実践しています。 |

 ベネディクティン大学は、
芸術・コミュニケーション、ビジネス・公共政策、教育、健康と科学・数学、人文科学（歴史、宗教、言語）、社会・行動科学等、学生に幅広い分野の学問を提供しています。
現在、世界22カ国65名の留学生が学んでおり、留学生をサポートするコーディネーターも常駐しています。 |

 In May 2006, Fuji Women's University signed an agreement of academic exchange with
Benedictine College in Kansas,USA. Benedictine College is located in the town of Atchison,which is a 40-minute drive from Kansas City. The college has a
beautiful campus, where approximately 1,200 students live and study.
In 1856, two Benedictine monks arrived in Atchison with the intention of founding a Benedictine school of higher learning for
the people of Kansas. In 1859, St. Benedict's College was officially
opened. On June 13, 1868, the college was incorporated under the
laws of Kansas and empowered to confer degrees and academic
 honors. In 1927, it became an accredited liberal arts college. Then,
in 1971, the college merged with Mount St. Scholastica College
and formed Benedictine College, which became co-educational.
The college provides students education based on the spirit of
Christianity.

Students can choose from various academic programs such as Arts and Communication,
Business and Public Policy,Education, Health, Science and Mathematics, Humanities,
Social and Behavioral Science.
Currently, 65 international students from 22 countries study at Benedictine College, and international program coordinators support those students, helping them to adjust to life there.
